Application Process for GGO Number

Application Process:

  • Complete grower application form – Can be download from the GGO website or can be picked up from the GGO Board office
  • Once submitted the office will follow up to collect complete vineyard information and obtain consent for the purpose and GPS mapping for Vitis
  • All applications will be reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors
  • Once above is completed grower will receive GGO number

Who can receive a GGO number?

  • any individual/company who has grapes planted within Ontario with the intent to sell for processing

Restrictions on grower numbers:

  • One GGO number per individual/company name (an entity is defined as grapes that will be produced and process under the individual/company name)
  • Before a GGO number is assigned, complete information must be collected on the vineyard and consent must be given for GPS Mapping
  • GGO number will become inactive if no grapes are sold within a two year time period
