Welcome to the official website of the Grape Growers of Ontario!
The Grape Growers of Ontario (GGO) is the official organization, acting under the authority of the Farm Products Marketing Commission. The GGO represents Ontario’s 500 growers of 17,000 acres of processing grapes, including 176 wineries in the Province’s three designated viticulture areas or appellations of origin: Niagara Peninsula, Lake Erie North Shore and Prince Edward County.
Quality wines begin with our growers and their vineyards. We salute our growers who are the guardians of the rich, fertile soils of Ontario. Our growers nurture vinifera and hybrid grapes for premium wine production, as well as the classic Concord and Niagara grapes that provide the full-bodied flavours of grape juice.
The GGO website provides an effective source of information for Ontario’s grape growers, and provides an opportunity to share our passion for Ontario grown grapes.
So, take a virtual ride through Ontario’s grape and wine industry and see how the Grape Growers of Ontario are working to have Ontario grown grape products demanded worldwide.
