2015 Winners of the Lieutenant Governor's Award for Excellence in Ontario Wines

The Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario is pleased to announce the winners of the fifth annual Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Ontario Wines. The Lieutenant Governor will present the awards at a ceremony and wine-tasting reception in the viceregal suite at Queen’s Park on a date to be announced in due course.
Ten wines have been recognized as having attained a level of excellence. In total, 84 VQA Ontario wineries submitted 305 wines in this year’s contest. In no specific order, the winning wines for the 2015 competition are listed below.

Flat Rock Cellars: Gravity 2012 Pinot Noir
Creekside Estate Winery: 2014 Riesling
Ravine Vineyard: 2013 Chardonnay
Peller Estates Winery: 2013 Vintage Gamay Noir Private Reserve
Rockway Vineyards: 2012 Small Lot Block 12-140 Syrah
