Launch of Fifth Annual Lieutenant Governor's Wine Awards

2015 marks the fifth anniversary of the Lieutenant Governor's Award for Excellence in Ontario Wines.  From April 13 to May 8, Ontario wineries are invited to enter up to four VQA-certified wines in this free competition.  Click here for detailed information, including competition procedures.

2015 competition timeline:
April 13- May 8 - Entry period
May 21, 22 - Bottle submission
June 16 - Winner announced
Early July - Awards ceremony

All wines compete against each other, regardless of vintage or varietal. All wines are blind-judged by an expert panel of sommeliers and leading industry professionals. this year, the Lieutenant Governor is pleased to welcome musician Jim Cuddy and chef Jamie Kennedy as special guest adjudicators.
